The Business Market and Smartphones

Among corporate executives smartphones trail only laptop computers in prevalence, according to a survey of executives released by Forbes Insights in association with Google. The survey, “The Untethered Executive: Business Information in the Age of Mobility,” found that 82% of C-level and senior executives use a smartphone and 87% use laptops. Just 75% use desktop PCs.

The executives expect their smartphone usage to increase. Just 12% of respondents said their smartphone is their most frequently used device, but 46% expect to be using either a smartphone or Web-enabled tablet device most often within three years.
